InterContinental Music Awards Winner

2024 – Best of Europe | Folk

Based in the iconic city of Cluj-Napoca, home of famous international festivals such as Untold, Electric Castle, TIFF, Jazz in the Park or Cluj Symphony Experience, HARA started its journey back in the year 2000.

Created by lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Flavius Buzilă, HARA aimed to bring fresh, original style to the Romanian music and take the music lovers to another level of artistic expression. The band kept their promise and courageously experimented alternative rock, electro pop and world music, releasing several successful albums one after another, “Aiurea”(Nonsense), “Mai frumoasa”(More Beautiful), “O zi”(One day) or “Interetnik”, featuring the Gipsy-inspired mega hit “Muro Shavo”.

More recent songs have also became very successful and found their place in the Romanian  radio stations’ airplay as well as in the streaming platforms favourites:  “Ne vedem la Cluj”(See you in Cluj), “Noapte Alba”(White night), “Sarbatoare”(Celebration), “Rollercoaster” and “Ce ti-as face”(If you were mine). Performing mesmerising, explosive live shows, rated as some of  the best in the whole country, HARA is a constant presence on the stages of national and international festivals, representing Romania at Romanian Heritage Festival  (Chicago, USA, 2013), European Football Championship (Salzburg, Austria, 2008) or Fetes Romanes (Brussels, Belgium, 2007).

The band was also several times finalist and one time winner in the international music contest VH1 Song of The Year, USA (winning song “Ploua Stele”(Raining Stars) 2009).
