2024 – Best of America | Pop

The Woods are an up and coming Venice pop band with an instantly classic yet new-wave sound. Inspired by worldly genres, The Woods have captivated listeners with their entrancing melodies and hypnotic dance floor beats.

Their debut single “Caught In The Woods” already has listeners and fans alike hitting repeat on what is a catchy pop tune featuring a funky bassline, house drums, textured guitar melodies and lyrics depicting the contemplation of sincerity.

The band formed of UMAMI Bee, Max Powers, Adam Bellotto and Ditty Kashyap named themselves after their coincidental places residence and recording site. At the beginning of the band formation, singer UMAMI Bee lived in the redwoods and bandmate, Max Powers, lived in a residential community nicknamed “The Woods” due to the consecutive titling of the street names, all ending with the conjunction “Woods”.

The Caught In The Woods music video is now streaming on Youtube and doubles as their 2024 submission to the annual @nprmusic ‘s Tiny Desk Contest. Their dynamic sound is matched with cinematic dream-like visuals and a commanding presence that has drawn in fans from across the globe.

Their next single “Floatin” released June 2024, leaves listeners with feelings of love and nostalgia.
